PETER WESTBROOK
PETER WESTBROOK is a Guest Artist appearing in UNTAMED ANGEL.

Originally from London, England, Peter Westbrook is a flutist, saxophonist, musicologist
and educator. He holds a Ph.D. in musicology, has studied music theory and
performance with Lionel Grigson and Gary Peacock, jazz flute with Ali Ryerson, and
Indian classical flute with Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. One of the original faculty
members at Maharishi International University, Peter now performs and lectures
extensively throughout the USA, Europe and India, has published numerous articles for
both academic and trade journals, including: Cosmos, Cadence, Flutist Quarterly, The
Journal of Indian Philosophy and Religion, and Hinduism Today, and CD liner notes for
several companies. He is the author of the forthcoming Music, Psyche, Cosmos, and
The Flute in Jazz: Window on World Music, and the co-author of Divine Harmony: The
Life and Teachings of Pythagoras. Dr. Westbrook is the founder and director of the
Harmonia Institute in Aspen Hill Maryland.
